MullumbimbyPoolHeating
Detailed delivery of complex hydraulic upgrades and plant room installations in a live operational environment.
Project Overview

Background & Context
Goldman Plumbing Services carried out the on-site delivery and installation of the four-unit heat-pump pool-heating system at Byron Shire Council's Petria Thomas outdoor pool. Working as the licensed contractor, Goldman installed the heat pumps, the hydraulic pipework and the electrical infrastructure, set the structural support frames, fitted the control panel and field sensors, and completed the on-site commissioning and operator handover.
The Engineering Challenge
Scope of works included: Supply and installation of four inverter heat pumps in a cascaded duty arrangement; Hydraulic and mechanical pipework installation and integration with the existing pool plant; Electrical installation — new switchboard, consumer mains and submains, per-unit protection and isolation; Installation of structural support frames for the heat-pump array; Installation of the custom control & monitoring panel and field sensors; On-site commissioning and operator handover.
Services provided: Heat-pump installation; hydraulic & mechanical plumbing; electrical installation; structural / support installation; site commissioning; operator handover.
Structured Delivery Approach
Key systems and technologies: 4 × inverter pool heat pumps (R410a); Custom control & monitoring panel with touch-screen HMI; Electrical: new consumer mains 380 A, main MCCB 380/400 A, per-pump 125 A 3-pole MCBs, 160 A isolators, fire-rated cabling; Modbus heat-pump communications and field sensors.
Final Handover & Results
A professionally installed, fully integrated system delivered on site by a licensed contractor — with safe, compliant electrical and hydraulic works and minimal disruption to the operating facility.
